A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Nick looked up at Ilane and gave her a smile. "How can I not be? She's just so cute," he said, and nuzzled Bri like a doting father would do. Briana giggled, squealing with laughter and splashing.

"So, you'd be just as doting to another one?" she asked, her hand resting gently on her belly.

He smiled. "Of course I would," he kissed her cheek.

"good, 'cause I think I'm pregnant." she said softly.

"Really," he asked with a smile and kissed her belly, then her lips softly.

She smiled, kissing him back. "I threw up this morning..." she shrugged. "I'm pretty sure."

He smiled and kissed her happily. "Briana's gonna be a big sister," he said happily.

Ilane laughed. "Yes she it."

Bri didn't know what they were talking about, but she giggled and splashed in the water.

Ilane laughed, grabbing a towel and holding it open for her daughter. "Walk to me Bri.." she smiled. "Come on."

Bri giggled and splashed through the water to her mom.

Ilane smiled, picking up her baby.

Nick smiled as Ilane picked up their baby girl and wrapped his arms around them both, nuzzling them happily.

Ilane smiled, holding Bri close and standing close to Nick. "I love you." she said to both of them.

"I love you, too," Nick kissed her softly, and Bri's forehead.

"Let's get her to bed" she said softly, walking to their temporary den.

Nick pulled a blanket around them both so they wouldn't get cold from being wet as they laid Bri down, who was already dozing off.

Ilane rubbed Bri dry then slowly put her in some clothes. she smiled at Nick, kissing him slightly. "Are you ready for another baby?"

He smiled and kissed her happily. "I am. I'm excited," he smiled and bent down to kiss her still-flat belly. "Hello, in there," he cooed as he'd done with Bri countless times before she was born.

She blushed slightly and smiled, running her fingers through his hair. "I love you." she said again. "I'm so glad that you wern't caught in that rock slide..."

Nick stood and pulled her into his arms, holding her close. "I love you, too. I'm sorry I worried you," he kissed her cheek.

She clung to him tightly, nuzzling into his neck. "It's okay. Things could be worse for us... A lot worse." she said softly.

He held her close, stroking her hair. "I'd rather not think about that," he murmured softly.

Ilane nodded, smiling. "let's go take that bath." she said, pulling him to the river.


about a week later, Olivia still didn't have her memory and neither did Sam. Sam basically stayed by herself while Olivia constantly clung to Raini or Kendal.

Conall stayed with his sisters and dad, glancing at his mom about once every hour to make sure she was alright. Otherwise, he didn't talk to her again unless she spoke to him first.

Brados made sure Sam's bandages were changed when they needed to be at that she got enough nutrients to heal. He began to wonder if her spirit had hidden her memories. He wondered if Sam wanted to forget something. Probably what he'd told her... What he wished he, himself, could forget. How he'd had to fight those children, and now he faced their mothers every day when he went to hunt for them. He hoped he could make it up to them.
