A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Brados shifted into his human form and easily climbed the tree. "Hey, buddy. How you hangin'," he asked with a soft chuckle.

"I'm scared, Daddy," Conall told him

Brados gently wrapped an arm around Conall and brought him to his chest, making the boy cling to him instead of the tree. "You're okay, buddy. I gotcha." He slowly climbed down and smoothly landed on his feet, holding his boy as he started crying, clinging to him. Brados held him close, letting him cry.

Dane stood there, really upset. She was only trying to help and she'd screwed up horribly.

Conall was mainly crying because of his mom.

Brados patted Dane's head, trying to comfort her.

"Conall, I'm sorry..." she said softly, leaving. She went somewhere all by herself, wanting to be alone.

Conall eventually stopped crying and hugged his dad. "Sorry, Daddy... I just want Mommy back..."

"I know, buddy," Brados hugged him back. "I want her back, too. But we can't rush her."

Kale went up to them, holding Izzy and sighed. "If we hit mommy's head again, will that bring her memories back?" she asked.

Brados chuckled. "No, sweetheart. I don't think so. It might hurt her - so let's not."

"What about when she's better?" She asked.

"Her memories will come back on their own," he told her, sitting down so she could sit on his lap. "It might take a long time and it might not. The only thing we can do is be there for her and try to keep her comfortable."

she sat in his lap and sighed. "But what if she never comes back?"

"She will," he murmured softly, hugging his three kids.

"Daddy, I'm hungry..." Kale mumbled.

"Alrighty. Let me go get another moose, since the other one is buried. Stay in sight of your mom," he said, kissing each of their foreheads and putting them down, shifting into his wolf form and running off to go hunting.

Olivia was sleeping for the moment, her head on a soft piece of grass. Kendal went to Raini, rubbing her shoulders. "Do you need me to hold you?" He asked softly.

Raini nodded and leaned her head on his shoulder.

He tugged her into his lap, holding her close. "It's okay." he said softly, running his fingers through her hair. "I'm just glad you tow are alright."

She hugged him back. "I wasn't buried," she looked up at him and kissed him softly.

"I know... But..." he sighed, holding her close. "I worked so hard to get you... to keep you. I don't want to loose you. Either of you."

She hugged him. "You won't lose us. We'll get Olivia's memories back, we'll get her healed up and watch her more carefully.

he nodded, agreeing. "It wasn't her fault though. We told her to stay out of the way of us working and she was." he sighed. "She'll be okay... Al's with her. He's not going to let anything happen to her."

Raini nodded and sighed softly into his shoulder.

"I love you." he said, holding her close.

"I love you, too," she murmured softly, hugging him tight.

He sighed. "Do you need anything?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

She shook her head. "No. I'm okay with you holding me," she smiled softly.
