Joshua chuckled. "Eh..I need to cool off. Wanna join me?" he asked, not in any perverse way but maybe as a truce. He wanted to get as close as he used to be with Marley of course.

Marley smiled shaking her head. Usually she would jump at the chance to shower with him, but this time she decilned. "I already took a shower today."

Joshua nodded, sighing. "Alright, I'll be back." he smiled, leaving the room. Max soon came into the room, barking and jumping on the bed. He looked at Marley, wanting to be pet and such, just as any dog would.

Marley smiled at her dog and spread her legs, letting Max sit between them so she could pet him. She could tell that Joshua was disapointed. But, this was such a sudden change in so many ways and she wanted to take things slow.

Joshua wasn't really all that disappointed. It wasn't a big deal. After around fifteen minutes, he came back in, all dressed in black shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. Sitting beside Marley, he rubbed Max's head. He didn't know much to say except to be beside her. He didn't want to push it.

"Would you go to marrige counsling with me? like, do you think thats a good idea?" She asked.

Joshua looked over at Marley and stared. Counseling? Wow, that was the last thing he'd want to hear. "Uh..sure. Might as well, right?" he asked, shrugging and laying against the pillows. "So..will you be sleeping here tonight?" he asked.

She nodded, laying down next to him, letting Max lay his head on her thigh. "You are my husband still." She said softly. "We just really need to work on things."

"Yeah, I agree." he muttered, hugging Marley close. Max whimpered as he rested his head over her thighs. "Let's hope counseling doesn't backfire." Joshua mumbled mostly to himself.

She looked up at him. "What do you mean?" she asked, her accent making her voice sound really sexy with it coming through loud and clear.

Joshua blushed as he heard Marley's accent come through so clearly. "Just..that it doesn't make us go farther apart." he said, looking away and sighing. Why the hell did she have to be so appealing?

She looked at him. "What's wrong?" She asked, confused why he looked away. She thought he liked her accent, that's why she was letting it show so strongly. This is how she sounded when she wasn't trying to hide it.

Joshua sighed, looking back at Marley. "Your accent makes it hard for me to not kiss you and..stuff." he mumbled, looking down at the covers as he pulled them over himself and her.

She chuckled. "I can hide it if you want me to. Or... you can go ahead and kiss me. If you do things like that... We may not have to go to councling."

Joshua raised a brow and looked at Marley questioningly. Was this a test or a mind game? He chuckled, smiling a bit. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, leaning in a bit closer.
