It's a Love Story

She smiled happily. "I'd like that."

He nodded as they got to the stable. "I'd like that too." He smiled.

She smiled and waited patiently on Splatter while she either figured out how to get down by herself, or he helped her.

Jon got off his horse and went to her. "Alright, so, you're going to stand up, keeping this leg in the sturrop." he patted her knee. "And swing your other leg over the back end of the horse, letting that one land on the ground first then you can step down. Don't worry, if you fall I'll catch you."

She nodded and tried it, slipping a little bit but not falling completely. She landed a little roughly, but made it down without a scratch. She grinned up at him.

He had been standing close so that if she fell, she wouldn't have a chance to hit the ground. "A little rough, but okay." he smiled, just now realizing that he was so close they were touching.

She smiled and blushed, realizing as well how close they were.

Slowly, Jon started to lean down to her lips. They were about to brush when his little cousins came running into the barn. Jon had to pull away and take a step back from Ren.

Instinctively, Ren leaned up towards him slowly as well. When his cousins rushed in, she blushed like mad, looking down in embarrassment.

((Sami, you're playing Timmy, I'm playing Sami. ))

Sami looked up at her older cousin. "Jon, can I ride one of the big horses? PLease!!!" She asked

Jon smiled at Ren then nodded, picking up his cousin. "Alright. But with me behind you and only for a litle bit. Your brother needs a turn, too."

"Yaaay," Timmy cheered, throwing his hands in the air. "Jonny, is this your girlfriend," Timmy asked, pointing to Ren.

Ren blushed again, smiling sheepishly at being the subject of the little boy's question.

Jon smiled at Ren then looked at Timmy. "Yes it is. Her name is Ren. Be nice to her." he said, lifting Sami into the sadle.

"Hi, Ren," Timmy smiled up at her. "I'm Timmy! Can I call you Renny," he laughed.

Ren smiled. "Sure," she said with a chuckle. "It's nice to meet you, Timmy."

"Let's go play in the hay! I'll beat you to the top," he challenged, running for the hay barrels.

Ren laughed and smiled up at Jon before running after the little boy.

Jon smiled, climbing onto the horse behind his cousin and holding her close to his body so he didn't fall. He went around the outside of the stable so that her parents could see that she was on a big horse and so tha his could see that she wasn't on it alone. He'd get chewed out by everyone if he let Sami ride the big horses alone.

Ren followed Tim, helping him climb up and up and up until they reached the top. "Uncle Mike usually races us up here," he laughed, falling back into the hay.

"It's fun," Ren smiled and sneezed a few times.

"Bless you," Timmy told her. "The hay makes you sneeze sometimes. You gotta get used to it."

Jon came back and got down then helping Sami down who can up the hay stack. "Alrighty Tiny Tim, come on." Jon smiled, winking at Ren.

Ren helped Tim down and Tim ran to his cousin excitedly.

Jon helped Tim up onto the horse and then took the same route as he took with Sami.

Ren smiled at Sami. "My name is Ren, it's nice to meet you."

Sami smiled, sitting next to Ren. "My name is Sami. With an I."

Ren chuckled. "It's nice to meet you, Sami. Do you want to race to the top of the haystack, too?"

She shook her head. "I'm not like my brother in that way." she said, trying to sound grown up. "I fall."

"What do you like to do," she asked with a smile.
