Maria smiled, chuckling softly. "It's just getting my dad to approve is what is going to be the main mountain..."

"Mountains can be climbed," he smiled.

"Yeah, well, we'll have another little expedition later," She said, kissing his cheek. "Dad's a mountain that nobody's ever surpassed."

He chuckled. "I doubt anyone's had a wolf-self to aid them," he whispered.

Maria chuckled. "True enough."

He kissed her cheek and nuzzled her.

Maria blushed softly, kissing his cheek. "Love, later I promise..."

"Alright," he gave in, kissing her forehead. "I'll go tell the pack to remain exceptionally hidden so they don't scare your parents."

"Good idea sweetie. Be back quickly. I'll be upstairs..."

"I'll be back soon," he kissed her quickly, though lovingly, and walked out, making sure he was deep in the forest before he shifted, so he wouldn't be spotted. My mate's parents are here. Keep out of sight of them - they will shoot, he warned his pack. I won't be able to stop them.

We'll keep to the shadows of the shadows, the Alpha said.

Alex nodded and shifted back, grabbing a few pieces of fruit for an excuse to her parents as to why he was gone.

Maria nodded, watching Alex disappear out into the woods. She walked inside, laying down on the couch. She was so tired...

Alex came back with his arms full of fruit and put the food on the counter, then went to Maria and kissed her forehead gently. "You should go take a nap, love," he murmured gently.

Maria nodded, suddenly feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. "Mkay..." She rubbed her eyes like a three year-old would, starting to shuffle out of the kitchen towards her room.

He picked her up, cradling her to his chest, and carried her back to her bed. He laid her down gently and covered her up, kissing her softly. "Sweet dreams, beloved," he whispered.

Maria curled against him while he carried her to his room. She stretched out for a moment when he laid her down, then curled back up into a ball

He smiled softly and stroked her hair gently, then kissed her lips tenderly and left her room silently, going to wash the fruit of bugs.

Maria settled into a very comfortable deep sleep, not intending on waking up for the next few hours.

Alex listened to the sounds going on through the house, and outside it, as he bit into an apple he'd picked.

Maria slept for a little more than twelve hours, having been far more tired than she'd realized.

Alex went in to check on her to make sure she was still breathing after a few hours. He sat by her side worriedly, afraid she'd gotten sick.

Maria yawned rolling onto her other side, which consequentially rolled her into Alex. She smelled him and smiled, openign one eye. "Good morning baby..."

He kissed her cheek. "You've been asleep so long. You worried me. How are you feeling," he asked, stroking her hair out of her face.

Maria smiled, feeling a little loopy from the excess sleep. "I'm gooood. Did you sleep at all?"

"I dozed a little, but I did not sleep," he told her. "I wanted to be awake when you woke."

Maria smiled, sitting up. "You didn't have to do that ya know..."
